Get ready for an exciting race this Sunday (23), because McLaren’s Lando Norris took pole position at the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix! With a stunning performance, Norris set the best time in the qualifying session held this Saturday (22), at the Circuit de Catalunya, in Barcelona, beating the current World Cup leader, Max Verstappen, by thousandths of a second!
The young British driver left behind not only Verstappen, but also experienced Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, who took third and fourth place respectively. The competition was fierce, with four teams taking part in the weekend. On Friday (21), McLaren and Mercedes dominated training, while on Saturday morning Ferrari led the last open practice. However, it was Norris who shone in qualifying, securing pole with an incredible lap of 1:11.383.
