Last Friday (21st), singer Justin Timberlake spoke for the first time after his arrest for drunk driving. He played in Chicago with his world tour Forgetting Tomorrow.
“It’s been a difficult week“the singer told the excited crowd in a video recorded by fans and posted on X (formerly Twitter).”I know it’s hard to love sometimes, but you keep loving me“, he has declared.
“We’ve been together through thick and thin… but you’re here and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment now“, he vented.
With a guitar slung over his shoulder, the former *NSYNC member then bowed to the audience before singing Selfish.
It is worth mentioning that Justin Timberlake was arrested on drunk driving charges in New York on June 17. He was indicted the next day.
Justin Timberlake’s lawyer speaks out after arrest
Last Wednesday (19th), Justin Timberlake’s lawyer shared a statement following the star’s arrest for drunk driving.
The lawyer’s office Edward Burke Jr. he spoke out about the incident, saying he will defend himself”vigorously” the 43-year-old singer and actor.
“[Nós] We look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations. He will have a lot to say when the time comes. He is currently awaiting a conclusion from the district attorney’s office” Burke said, according to TMZ.
“It was established that the defendant was driving the vehicle while intoxicated, as his eyes were red and glassy, a strong odor of alcohol emanated from his breath, he was unable to divide his attention, his speech was slow , was unsteady when walking and performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests” states the report filed by Officer Michael Arkinson.
Timberlake’s next court appearance is scheduled for July 26, the same day he is scheduled to appear at the Tauron Arena in Krakow, Poland. He is currently on a world tour Forgetting Tomorrow.
