Post Malone to perform ‘Twelve Carat Toothache’ for the first time in a virtual reality show

Austin Post reveals he’s looking forward to releasing his latest album in a ‘really different’ way

the rapper Post Malone will present for the first time their fourth studio album, Twelve Carat Toothache (2022), in a virtual reality show titled Twelve Carat Toothache: A VR Experience, lasting 40 minutes (via billboard).

The event will be held on the online virtual reality app horizon worlds, inside Venues, where users can enjoy VR events together through virtual reality headsets. For fans who don’t own a VR headset, the experience will be available on Facebook and Instagram from Post Malone.

What really drew me in was Meta being a great partner and allowing us to go absolutely crazy to create some of the most epic things ever. It’s just a really cool and very different way to experience the album.

The online show will feature special guest appearances by The Kid LAROI (“Wasting Angels”), Fleet Foxes (“Love/Hate Letter to Alcohol”) and Roddy Rich. In addition, pyrotechnic elements such as fire and special lights will be seen for the performance, which will be directed by Lewis Smithingham and production of Westbrook Media and Media.Monks.

Twelve Carat Toothache debuted in second place in Billboard 200 after its release on June 3. But how Post Malone I told billboard in their January cover story: “I’ve done a lot of numbers, especially musically, but now I don’t feel like doing it anymore. I don’t need to be #1; it doesn’t matter to me anymore, and at one point, it did.”

This line of thinking is exactly what attracted him to partnering with Meta – nothing felt off-limits. post says it was particularly crazy to see how an entire conceptual world based on his music and ideas was built from scratch in such a short time.

Twelve Carat Toothache: A VR Experiencewill be on July 15, and later released on social networks of Austin Post Malone. The singer went to Saturday Night Live For a preview of the new album, check out the performance below:
