Shifty Shellshock, of the band Crazy Town, was found dead in a room in a boarding house in Los Angeles; suspected overdose
Crazy Town singer Seth Binzer, or as he was known, Shifty Shellshock, was found dead this week at the age of 49. Investigators suspect he died from a drug overdose. He lived in a tiny rented room and had a crazy routine, witnesses said. Daily email.
The rocker was actually addicted to cocaine and crack and even took part in a reality show with famous drug addicts to try to get treatment. Shellshock’s body was found in the 5.5 m² room of the guesthouse where he lived in Los Angeles. His roommate reported that days earlier he had been partying with women and appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
Jason Roberts, 50, rented the room next to the musician, but didn’t know he was once a famous singer. The man said he saw Shellshock rummaging through his bags and personal items about a week ago. The rocker allegedly said he was there to get away from his girlfriend.
“He said he was having problems with his girlfriend or something and that’s why he was here, he had to run away,” Roberts explained. In the days leading up to his death, the Crazy Town frontman brought several women to his room and appeared to be unwell.
“One of them looked German, with sparkles all over his face, so at least he had fun. But it looked like he hadn’t slept in days,” the neighbor said. According to him, noises could be heard from the musician’s room and when he saw him it seemed that he was constantly shaking, as if he was under the influence of substances.
Second daily email, Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy and toxicology tests to determine whether the case warrants a criminal investigation, but they suspect she died of a drug overdose.
The manager of the guesthouse called for help, finding the singer unconscious on the mattress. The fire department was also called, but when they arrived Shellshock was already dead.
