Firerose claims Billy Ray Cyrus had ‘very strict rules’ in marriage

Just seven months after the wedding, Firerose — whose real name is Johanna Rose Hodges – It is Cyrus filed for divorce.

In an interview with Page Six (via People), Hodges stated that Cyrus imposed ‘strict rules’ on the relationship and that he tried to keep her isolated. Furthermore, sheadmitted that he “didn’t have the courage to leave”.

“Billy I had very strict rules,” he told the magazine. “I didn’t have a car. I was only allowed to go to the local chiropractor and get my nails done once a month.”

Hodges said her ex-husband forbade her to receive visits from her relatives at their farm in Nashville, where they lived, but she was allowed to attend Alcoholics Anonymous appointments.

“If I needed to send a message, I had to read it to him to get permission,” he said. “Same thing with email.”

Firerose further claimed that Cyrus verbally abused her, “screaming at the top of his lungs”: “He would scare me, yelling, ‘You stupid, dumb f*cking b*tch, crazy bitch. ‘ It was illogical, insane and terrifying.”

The singer fears that Billy will use events from her “dark years,” when she was not sober, against her during the divorce proceedings. “He is a very evil man,” she said.

Other side

Billy Ray Cyrus made similar accusations to Firerose. In a supplementary document to the divorce petition, sent on June 17, he alleges that his ex-wife “has been conducting a campaign of isolation” against him, forbidding him from talking to one of his daughters.

In another document, dated June 24, Cyrus reveals that he was physically, verbally and emotionally abused by Hodges. He also denied her accusations.
