‘Woman’s World’, which was supposed to be a feminist song, featured Dr. Luke in the writing and production
Katy Perry is being criticized by fans. About to release her new album, 143she released “Woman’s World”, a single whose lyrics were supposed to be a feminist statement. However, four of the song’s six composers are men — Perry, Chloe Angelides and the producers Dr. Luke, Vaughn Oliver, Aaron JosephIt is Rocco Valdes.
Dr. Luke and the singer have already worked together, such as on the hit “I Kissed a Girl”, in 2008. A few years later, in 2014, he was accused of Kesha of drugging and raping her at a party in 2005. The producer denied the allegations. Part of the lawsuit was dismissed as being too old. Kesha and the musician reached an agreement in 2023.
“Katy Perry just made a ‘female empowerment’ song with the publicly known abuser, Dr. LukeIt is Kesha just gave a TED talk about how music helped her overcome child abuse Dr.“, wrote one internet user.

“As a rape victim, I can’t imagine what it’s like to see one of the greatest and most celebrated artists collaborate with her rapist. The day the Dr. Luke is processed, let’s see what your daughter DAISY thinks, Katy Perryand all of you who bring children into this world just to associate them with monsters,” said another.
As a rape victim myself I can’t imagine what it feels like to see one of the biggest & established artists collaborate with your rapist. The day Dr Luke is gonna get prosecuted, let’s see what your daughter DAISY thinks Katy Perry, and all of you who bring children into this world…

Even the actress Abigail Breslin spoke about the decision to Perry: “I’m just saying… working with known abusers in any industry sector only contributes to the narrative that men can do heinous shit and get away with it. On the other hand, I love @KeshaRose and she put on one of the best shows I’ve been to this past year <3 listen Kesha!”
