The compatriot said he intends to educate his young children the old fashioned way and away from exposure to cell phones.
Gusttavo Lima has spoken out for the first time about a video in which his eldest son, Gabriel, appears driving a car with his younger brother, Gabriel, on the singer’s property.
During a show, the country singer explained that he intends to raise his children the old-fashioned way, considering it healthier than the modern method, in which children are exposed to technology. The moment of the outburst went viral last Monday (15/7) on social media.
“You can’t even let the guy drive because he already bothers you. Here they are rustic, radical, those old-school guys. People want you to leave them in front of the tablet, the phone, in front of the TikTok screen dancing… Much better to drive than to do other things that are not good,” complained Gusttavo Lima.
You got away with it!
Last week, the Civil Police said they would not charge the couple, Andressa Suita and Gusttavo Lima, for letting their 7-year-old son drive a car on a property in Goiás. The decision was made after analyzing footage of the homicide incident.
The lack of fines is due to the fact that the Brazilian Highway Code (CTB) does not specify rules for purely private places, such as family land that no one can access, within a farm or an agricultural business.
If the situation had occurred on a public road, it would be considered a very serious offence, as the CTB prohibits people without a licence from driving vehicles. Furthermore, it is a crime to entrust the driving of a vehicle to a person without a licence.
On his show, Gusttavo Lima spoke about the recent controversy over his children’s driving and expressed his desire to raise children in a more ‘grounded’ way, encouraging less time with tablets and more real interactions. 💬 pic.twitter.com/yjfYvFYsKu
