This Wednesday (17), the album of Selena titled Forbidden Love entered the Top 5 once again on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums and Regional Mexican Albums charts, following the release of its special vinyl edition.
It’s worth noting that a remastered 30th anniversary version of this chart-topping album was released earlier this year.
With the launch of Forbidden Love on vinyl, at the same time, the album Those Selena’s also entered the Top 5 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart.
Forbidden Love remains his most eclectic and revered album. Selena and the Dinosaurs (AB Quintanilla III bass, Suzette Quintanilla drums, Chris Perez guitar, Ricky Vela keyboards, Pete Astudillo vocals and Joe Ojeda keyboards) marking a before and after in the history of music that includes hits produced by AB Quintanilla III such as Forbidden love, Bidi bidi bom bom, If once and No I fall again.
The album has sold over 2.5 million copies in the United States and remains one of the best-selling Latin albums of all time, with a historic 41x Platinum certification by the RIAA. This makes it the second best-certified Latin album in RIAA history in the United States.
