The American rapper will pass with the Olympic flame through the French town of Saint-Denis
French Mayor Mathieu Hanotin announced this Tuesday (23/7) that American rapper Snoop Dogg will carry the Olympic torch through the streets of Saint-Denis ahead of the opening ceremony of the Olympics, which will take place this Friday (26/7) in Paris, France.
“Saint-Denis: Last step before the Eiffel Tower. An international cast with Snoop Dogg [foi escalado] for the final journey of the Olympic flame,” said Hanotin, who also announced a performance by French singer Slimane in front of the Basilica of the French city hall.

In addition to carrying the torch, Snoop Dogg has already been confirmed as one of the sports commentators for the Paris Olympics. The musician will be part of the NBC team, promising to share his take on what’s happening in the Olympic controversies.
The rapper will also be seen exploring major tourist spots in France and interviewing competitors from the United States. “We’re going to have some incredible competitions and of course I’m bringing Snoop’s style into the mix. It’s going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned and keep it locked,” Snoop Dogg teased.
