The band released last Thursday, the 15th, the first song that is part of the second studio album, successor to Os Prédios Cinzas e Brancos da Av. Maracanã
The band Aquinas released this Thursday, 15th, the single “Flamengo shirt,” first track from the group’s second studio album. With elements of genres such as disco music, indie pop and experimental pop, the song also won a music video directed by Mariana Coropos.
“Flamengo shirt” is influenced by big names in national music such as Titans and Jorge Ben Jor. The song was composed by guitarist João Vasquez. “I believe that in this new work, we have been given more paths than in any other project we have ever done, exploring different musical genres but, in some way, maintaining the DNA of our songs.”
“In the case of ‘Flamengo shirt‘, we stuck closely to what the public’s reaction told us over the two years we played before releasing it, starting with a more pop rock aesthetic that gradually became more danceable. It’s for those who like Brazilian music, groove, summer, swimming in the sea, playing football on Sundays and dancing, he adds.
