Singer-songwriter Liniker has announced that she is working on a documentary about the creative process behind her new album Cashewspublished this August. The revelation occurred during his participation in the program Interview with Foquinhahosted by journalist Fernanda Catania, on Dia TV.
Linker explained that the documentary’s goal is to give audiences an intimate and detailed look at how the album was created. The production is led by Bahian documentary filmmaker Safira Moreira, who recently gained fame after winning the Sundance Film Festival. “I want people to understand how the album was made and experience this creative process with me”said the singer.
Since launch, Cashews It was a huge success, accumulating more than 15 million plays on iTunes, including 6 million in the first 24 hours. The album, recorded in analog, has 14 songs, 13 of which are among the 100 most listened to in Brazil.
During the interview, Linker shared that the album’s name and its main character, Cashewswere inspired by a comment they received at a party, where someone said his mouth looked like a cashew. In addition to the documentary, Linker plans to release album-themed merchandise, including a cashew-scented house spray and hats.
In the album, the artist collaborated with names such as Lulu Santos, Pabllo Vittar, Anavitória, BaianaSystem AND Tropkillaz. Although the album has a stronger pop appeal, Linker he emphasized his artistic freedom: “I can sing whatever I want, I’m a composer and music producer, I listen and research music. I have the gift of experimentation.”

In an interview with the program Conversation with Bialfrom Globe, Linker revealed that the first single from his new album was inspired by an intense passion he experienced over three days on tour in Europe. Known for hits such as It floats AND Child95the singer said that the album Cashewshis second solo work, was composed while he was promoting his first album, Indigo Indigo Butterfly.
During his stay in Ireland, Linker experienced a short but deeply surprising love story, which became the basis for the creation of Allthe first single from his new album. “Since Remonta, I’ve been writing about my passions. Loves that have healed, but that have always led me to write. I had a great love story in Ireland during the tour, and that experience inspired the song”said the 29-year-old singer.
“It’s been an intense three days”continued Linker. The music All reflects the desire to relive this special encounter, expressing the hope for a future reunion.
