The Pagodeiro team would have modified the data present in the work sheet of Gordinho do Surdo
Thiaguinho has been sued for alleged fraud regarding the workers’ rights of musician Antenor Marques Filho, better known as Gordinho do Surdo, who died from complications due to Covid-19 in 2021. The information was released this Tuesday (27/8) by columnist Daniel Nascimento.
The lawsuit was filed by the percussionist’s family, who claim he contracted the viral disease during a Thiaguinho performance in December 2020 and died the following month. At the time, the musician was 75 years old and had not yet been vaccinated.
The family says that the musician has been working with the pagodeiro since 2003, when he was part of the Exaltasamba group. However, he only signed his work card in 2018, as an administrative assistant and a lower salary than what he actually received from the team. They point out that there was fraud on the notes in the document.
As if that wasn’t enough, relatives also claim that Thiaguinho’s team used the musician’s image in shows and on social media after his death, as a way to promote the pagodeiro’s performances.
In the documents, Antenor’s family is seeking employment rights, such as overtime and commissions, as well as compensation for moral damages, arguing that the percussionist was exposed to unnecessary risks during the pandemic, when he was already old.
The lawsuit seeks a total amount of R$ 516,213.83 at the 2nd Labor Court of Santana de Parnaíba, São Paulo.
