After 15 years since the end of Oasis, Noel and Liam Gallagher announced the return of the band with a tour scheduled for mid-2025
After a long wait from fans of Oasis around the world, the iconic rock band led by the brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher finally returned after 15 years of many indirect messages and jabs in interviews, solo shows and countless publications on social media.
However, even before and during the existence of the group, the two brothers were known for always fighting with each other, whether on stage or behind the scenes. In fact, the end of the Oasis happened because of a specific fight, but the departure of Noel was also motivated by several other conflicts.
The guns have fallen silent.
The stars have aligned.

For example, Noel accused Liam interrupting shows at least twelve times between 1994 and 2005, aggravating a throat problem due to a lifestyle that cost him his health, attacking fans and leaving “offensive messages on the answering machine” of his brother’s phone. Below, see five of the biggest feuds between the duo.
1994: Noel leaves Oasis’ first US tour
After releasing their debut album, entitled Definitely Maybe (1994), Oasis tried what many British bands had done before: they tried to conquer the United States. However, plans didn’t exactly go according to plan.
During a show in Los Angeles, at the club Whiskey a Go Gothe band, allegedly under the influence of methamphetamine, gave a terrible performance, which ended with Liam beating in Noel with a tambourine and leaving the stage before the end of the performance. Noel left the tour the next day, although he returned to the group after a short break in Las Vegas.
1996: Failure in the United States
Oasis broke out in the US in 1996, about a year after the release of (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?which reached number one on the US charts with the hit “Wonderwall“besides playing”Champagne Supernova” no MTV Video Music Awards.
The band was scheduled to record a MTV Unplugged in London, but Liam – due to a supposed bout of laryngitis – did not perform, and left Noel alone on stage while he watched from the audience. So, when the group was due to embark on a US tour, Liam decided he wouldn’t go (supposedly because he had to look for a house with his then fiancée, Patsy Kensit).
In an interview with NME, Noel said that this act “killed [o Oasis] in the United States.” In the middle of the tour, the oldest of the Gallagher also decided to give up and return to England.
2000: Noel leaves the band after another fight with Liam
Allegedly, during a world tour of the band in 2000, the brothers got into such an ugly fight, in which the youngest would have questioned the legitimacy of the oldest’s daughter, that Noel left the tour abruptly. Later, in an interview with the British magazine Qhe stated that he had “never forgiven him because he never apologized.” He even returned to the band to perform in England, but the damage was done.
2005: Noel psychologically manipulates Liam
While still recording albums and touring, the Gallagher They already had a shaky relationship in 2005. They spoke to the press frequently about their most recent discussions, and one of the best speeches came in an interview with the magazine Spinwhen Noel admitted that he was manipulating Liam mentally to get what he wanted.
I learned that instead of fighting, I can play with his psychology, and he is scared to death of me now.
2009: Noel leaves Oasis for good and the band officially breaks up
After almost two decades of conflict, Noel he left Oasis. “It is with a little sadness and great relief that I tell you that I am giving up on Oasis tonight,” he said in a statement at the time. “People can write and say whatever they want, but I simply cannot work with the Liam not for another day. He is like a man using a fork in a world of soup.”
In one of the passages of the process that Noel moved in 2011, Liam is accused of entering the locker room of Noelbreak his guitar, spin it in the air and almost hit his brother in the face with the instrument. This is the description of the fight that ended the Oasis.
It is said that a fight between the brothers ended with Liam destroying one of Noel’s guitars. He later sued his older brother, claiming “slander” in relation to the incident.
