Former Little Mix member shares details about new project
My album is pretty much done, to be honest. I wanted to make sure I had a complete body of work before I released the first song. I’ve written so many tracks over the last few years, so it was really hard to condense it all into one album.”
Jade explained that the album will be an extension of her “personal quest as an artist,” and she is exploring different arrangements and versions of the songs. One example of this is the slowed down (SAD) version of the single she has already released, Angel of My Dreams.
Furthermore, Jade commented that the album will be like a kind of musical diary, where she puts her most sincere experiences and emotions. She wants fans to feel every detail, from the happiest parts to the most intense and introspective moments.
I think I’m having a lot of fun experimenting with my sound. You know, it’s the first time I’ve been able to do that as a solo artist. So I think the album will reflect that.”
Jade said that choosing the songs for the album was not easy, as she had written a lot of material over the past few years. She said that she only wanted to release the songs when she was sure that she was happy with the album.
Jade also commented that fans will be able to identify personal references and important moments in her career, which makes the album even more special.
It was important for me to make sure I was confident and happy with the album before I started releasing anything.
The album is literally me finding myself. I wanted the fans to be part of this experience with me, so that they could listen to the album and feel like they were following my journey.”
Jade mentioned that she has a great desire to collaborate with Brazilian artists, and Pabllo Vittar is at the top of her list of partnerships. She was excited about the idea of mixing her style with that of other cultures.
Furthermore, the singer also commented that she is interested in exploring her Egyptian and Yemeni roots further, and said that this is something that should happen over time.
I would love to delve more into my Arabic roots with my music, but I think that will come later as I educate myself more in that space.”
Although Jade has shared several details about her solo album, there is still no official release date. The singer is currently finalizing the final touches and promises that new music is on the way.
