Linkin Park made their long-awaited return to the stage with an electrifying show in Los Angeles this Thursday (11), marking the start of their comeback tour. The performance was special for several reasons, but most importantly because it was the first time the band had performed with their new singer, Emily Armstrongafter the singer’s death Chester Bennington in 2017.
The band produced a vast setlist full of hits, for a total of 30 songs that thrilled the fans. The classics are liked Numb AND In the end were part of the repertoire, mixing nostalgia with new songs that reflect the group’s current moment.
Emily’s announcement as the new singer did not go unnoticed. While many fans welcomed the change with open arms, there was criticism, especially from Cedric Bixler Zavalafrom the band The Mars Volta. Cedric criticized the singer for her alleged ties to Scientology and her support for the actor Danny Mastersonrecently convicted of sexual abuse.
Despite the controversy, the return of Linkin Park was a triumph. The show in Los Angeles reinforced the band’s impact on the music scene and proved that, despite the changes, the group retains its essence.
