Action measures audience volume during festival performances; Ed Sheeran and Avenged Sevenfold are among the ‘noisy’
The 2024 edition of the Rock in Rio is in full swing and ready to be marked as one of the most important in the festival’s 40-year history.
Just as it happened with the choir of thousands of voices in the presentation of Queen in 1985, the iconic show of Britney Spears which marked the 2001 edition, and Bruce Springsteen singing Raul Seixas In 2013, fans are still singing along to their favorite songs.
It was with this in mind that Heineken – one of the event’s sponsors – created the The Loudest Playlist. The activation captures, in real time, the volume of the audience during the shows. This way, it is possible to find out who were the loudest people in this edition, which is currently led by Travis Scott.
Prepared by the creative agency LePub Brazil and made possible by Dentsu Creative in partnership with the Spotifythe action is being carried out with the installation of decibel meters, which measure the intensity of the sound. The songs that reach the highest levels are automatically added to an exclusive playlist, updated daily during the two weekends of Rock in Rio Brazil 2024.
“In the history of Rock in Rio, there have always been songs that became unique moments of connection for fans. Now Heineken will measure, in real time, the emergence of these historic moments.”, he explains. Rafael AlvesExecutive Creative Director of LePub São Paulo.

“Our main activation at the festival this year celebrates the 40th anniversary of Rock in Rio. The space plays with the idea of transporting guests to historic shows from this period, combining the best of music and reflections on a more sustainable tomorrow. This partnership with Spotify is special, as we connect in favor of similar values. Heineken and music have always gone hand in hand, and we are always looking to surprise the public with new experiences and unique perspectives,” he explains. Beatrice Jordandirector of communications and branding at Heineken in Brazil.
“We know how Heineken and good music lovers behave and where they are. We want to use this affinity to amplify our action and provide this playlist to fans who cannot be there in person, a way to connect with the message of our campaign to always enjoy it as if there were a tomorrow”, he comments. Caroline BassiBusiness Director at Dentsu.
THE The Loudest Playlist is available to everyone, whether they are at the festival or enjoying it from home, and will serve as a musical summary of the best moments of this edition.
