I almost get excited when people come to me and tell me what Tracy means to them and my portrayal of Tracy means to them. And that I was the Tracy they grew up with. Ricki Lake was the Tracy I grew up with and idolized her. And I never thought anyone could admire me like that. And when I started reading what fans thought about the film, about my character and how they identified so much with it. For me, that’s what makes this whole trip, this whole ride that I’m doing, all right and exactly what I have to do.
