Entrepreneur Roberta Medina explained that the appointment had “challenging logistics” that generated setbacks
Roberta Medina, vice president of the Rock World company, said that the “Brazil Day” experience should not be repeated in future editions of Rock in Rio, including 2026. The entrepreneur explained that the commemorative date, which brought together different musical genres, had “challenging logistics” that caused delays and other problems at the festival.
“We wanted to organize a celebration of Brazilian music, which created challenging logistics due to the number of people involved. There were more than two thousand people backstage just to take care of the artists. Which ended up causing some problems, but in the end it was well received, we got a score of 9 in the audience rating. The meetings on stage will continue, of course, but without so many people together at the same time,” Roberta explained in an interview with the newspaper O Globo.
Roberto Medina’s daughter also regretted that the delays caused the absence of singer Luan Santana, who needed to meet his commitments in Santa Catarina. “It was a shame, but he couldn’t stay. In an event of this size it is impossible to control everything,” explained the businesswoman.
However, Roberta confirmed that the festival will be held again in Rio de Janeiro and Lisbon with new, unreleased presentations in 2026. “Our curation is a reflection of what the consumer wants, what society would like to see. It has a careful eye on talent, trying to shed light on new names, but it is a selection always linked to what the public expects,” she concluded.
