Cidade do Rock welcomed more than 730,000 people for the historic 40th anniversary edition of Rock in Rio. From the first day of the festival, September 13, until its end, September 22, more than 750 artists performed in 500 hours of event.
Indeed, Rock in Rio was a stage for nostalgia with performances by NE-YO, Akon and Cyndi Lauper, as well as the country singer’s debut on Dia Brasil and iconic acts like Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran. That’s because the festival’s lineup was designed to please everyone, of all ages.
To keep everyone’s hairstyle in place, we brought the launch of Forever Liss, “Xô Frizz”. This is because the straightener reduces frizz in seconds, without leaving hair greasy or weighing it down.

Brazil Day
Last Saturday (21), Rock in Rio bet on a day entirely focused on national attractions with exciting duets and the debut of the country singer at the event. In fact, Chitãozinho & Xororó provided the biggest crowd chorus so far in this edition, with “Evidências”.
Even though Luan Santana, Ryan SP and Ludmilla were absent from their presentations, Dia Brasil was a success and won over the audience.
Featured Attractions
The 40th edition of Rock in Rio made history and featured attractions that were more than special. Ivete Sangalo flew around the City of Rock singing the classic “Eva”. In addition to the performances of Travis Scott, Ne-Yo and Karol G that left everyone speechless.
To move the audience, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Shawn Mendes and Imagine Dragons did not leave out the classics from the setlist. We miss you already!

Known as the world’s largest music and entertainment festival, RiR offers fun on and off the stage. This is because the event features booths, activations, and toys scattered throughout the event.
The Chilli Beans Chapel has celebrated more than 1,000 love unions celebrated by the character Elvis Presley and three official marriages officiated by Justice of the Peace Maria Vitória Riera. In addition to the musical theater “Sonhos, Lama & Rock and Roll” staged in Arena 2, inside Cidade do Rock.
40 Years of Rock in Rio
To celebrate 40 years of history, the festival has provided a giant screen on Route 85 with amazing images of the most historic editions of the festival from that period. In addition, the 40th RiR saw the debut of Babilônia Feira Hype with 50 exhibitors who took turns over these 7 days.
