The band surprises Brazilian fans by posting videos of their arrival in the country
Linkin Park announced this Monday (23/9) that they will perform with the new lineup in Brazil. The confirmation came with the publication of a video on the group’s official social media profile. The images show Brazilian fans calling for the band to arrive, followed by the Portuguese phrase “Let’s go” and the country’s flag. Despite the announcement, the dates of the show have not yet been announced.
The announcement causes confusion among fans
The post generated a huge movement on social media, with Brazilians celebrating the band’s return to the country. Comments on the post quickly multiplied, demonstrating the public’s anticipation for future shows.
The band has a 20-year relationship with Brazil. Their first show in the country was in 2004, at the Morumbi Stadium. Since then they have come three more times. The last one was in 2017, in a show at the Interlagos racetrack, also in São Paulo, two months before the death of singer Chester Bennington.
New phase of the band
The band, which is going through a new phase, retains its original members Brad Delson, Mike Shinoda, Dave Farrell and Joe Hahn. In addition, Colin Brittain has joined as a new drummer and Emily Armstrong, singer of the band Dead Sara, has joined the team as a co-vocalist.
Show dates and locations are expected to be revealed soon.
