The former Beatles drummer plays with his All Starr Band, which was due to perform in the United States
Rigo Starrformer drummer of Beatlescanceled concerts on his tour with his band, the All Starr Band, due to health reasons. At age 84, doctors advised the musician to rest after contracting the flu.
The performances, which would have been the last two dates of the US tour, were scheduled for the 24th and 25th, in Philadelphia and New York.
The band lamented the cancellation through a statement on the musician’s Instagram.
“Ringo has come down with a cold and after consulting a doctor, he has been advised to cancel these two remaining shows and rest,” the text reads. “As always, Ringo and the All Starrs send peace and love to their fans and hope to see you soon.”
