The communications consultancy Caldi Comunicação has terminated its contract with MC Ryan SP after releasing images of a video in which the funk singer appears attacking his ex-girlfriend and mother of his daughter, Giovanna Roque. The images, taken from the security camera of the apartment where they both lived, were published by Leo Dias’ portal and show the artist kicking and trying to throw a suitcase at Giovanna, who was sitting on the floor of a wardrobe .
Before breaking up with the funk singer, the consultant informed SBT that the singer was “caught by surprise” by the repercussions of the case, stating that they would still have a meeting with him to analyze the published images and photos. The statement was given on Friday (27/9) on the program “Tá Na Hora”. Subsequently, however, the second image came to light, that of the threat with the suitcase.
Cancellation in Maringá Folia
After the diffusion of the scenes, the organization of the Maringá Folia, which would have taken place this Saturday (28/9), decided to eliminate MC Ryan SP from the event program. In a statement on social media, the organizers said they were aware of the accusations against the artist and, after analyzing the situation, decided to cancel the performance. “Our team is working carefully to adapt the lineup and guarantee the best possible experience for the public,” reads the official note.
Deactivation of social networks
Amid the controversy, MC Ryan SP even sent a message via WhatsApp to Leo Dias’ portal, admitting his mistake. “I know I made a mistake,” he said, adding, “This is going to end my career, but I’m a child of God and I know I made a mistake and in that video you see a guy that I’m not.”
He then deactivated his Instagram profile and remained incommunicado.
