The artist’s office did not approve the unusual performance of the musical group Open Farra and asked for clarification
The band Open Farra, led by Marcelo Zangrandi and Rodrigo Mila, received an extrajudicial notification from Xuxa Meneghel’s office after attempting to pay homage to the artist in a show with Cintia Lopes, the presenter’s lookalike. The confusion occurred after an event in São José dos Campos, São Paulo.
According to a video published on the band’s profiles, Cintia went on stage with her face hooded before revealing her “identity” to the audience, excited by the unusual participation of the lookalike. At that time, he presented only two shows.
It went badly!
However, Xuxa’s office was not satisfied with the performance and sent a notification to the band asking for clarification. With the confusion, Marcelo and Rodrigo apologized to the presenter for trying to honor her.
“This week we were surprised by an extrajudicial notification from a person we admire very much, Xuxa Meneghel, who did not like the tribute we paid to our show on September 21st, in which we included Cintia’s participation in our script Lopes who does an incredible job as a lookalike of our eternal Queen of Shorties,” they explained, in a note published on Instagram.
“Our giveaway didn’t work, today we are the target of a possible lawsuit. We are here to apologize to Xuxa, and to all the people involved,” they continued, begging the presenter not to continue the trial. “Xuxa, please don’t sue Open Farra!”
“We want to continue to bring joy and fun throughout Brazil, this is our way of masking the countless problems of everyday life, we just want to smile and dance! We also want to invite you to participate in one of our shows! Sorry, Xuxa”, they concluded.
