Singer Leonardo took a stand this Monday (7/10) regarding the inclusion of one of his farms in the “dirty list” of the Ministry of Labor and Employment, which brings together properties involved in accusations of work similar to slavery . In a video on Instagram, the compatriot stated that Fazenda Talismã, located in Goiás, has been rented since 2022 and that, therefore, it has no direct relationship with workers who find themselves in a situation of contemporary slavery. “In 2022, I rented a farm so that the tenant could plant whatever he wanted. As a result, employees appeared that I don’t know, that I’ve never heard of,” he said.
Leonardo denies workers’ responsibility
Leonardo explained that responsibility for the workers’ conditions lies with the farm’s tenant, who has taken over the management of the site. According to the singer, he does not know the people involved and stressed that he is completely against exploitative practices. “I, in my heart, would never do that. I think there is a huge mistake about who I am, all of Brazil knows me, knows the person I am,” he said.

After the visit to the farm by the Public Ministry of Labor, Leonardo confirmed the payment of a fine related to the case. According to the compatriot, the case has been closed.
