Luke Spillerlead singer of the band The Strutsrevealed that he and the late drummer of Foo Fighters,Taylor Hawkinswrote a song for the film 007: No Time To Diebut ended up missing the opportunity to Billie Eilish with the music No Time To Die. The theme of the 25th edition of the franchise James Bond was composed by Eilish and her brother, Finneaswith collaborations from Hans Zimmer and Johnny Marrand earned the singer a Oscarone Golden Globe and one Grammy.

Spiller, in an interview with the British newspaper The Sunsaid that he submitted the track with the participation of Hawkins on drums.

I’ve always been obsessed with a lot of the Bond songs. I tried my luck, but I was defeated by Billie. It’s a fantastic song.

I called Taylor and we cut the drums at his home studio.

Despite the defeat, Spiller stated that he would like to be considered for the franchise’s next soundtrack, which will feature a new actor in the role of James Bond.
