Entrepreneur Andreia Andrade tries to prove herself right as the singer’s inventor
Andreia Andrade, ex-wife of Nahim (1952-2024), regretted the São Paulo Public Prosecutor’s opinion against the request to be executor of the singer, who died in June this year. The agency said there was insufficient evidence to support that they had a stable union.
In an interview with the columnist Fábia Oliveira, the businesswoman declared that we will have to wait for the final decision of the judge in charge of the case. She says she will continue to try to prove her stable union with the singer.
“What I understand is that it is the opinion of the Prosecutor’s Office, it can express itself as it did to close the investigation into the cause of Nahim’s death, which turned out to be an accidental death,” Andreia said.
“We have to wait for the judge’s position, we still don’t know what the judge has decided. So I have to prove my stable union. By proving the stable union, then yes, the daughter [Noelle] may or may not be part of the inventory. Then everything will depend, it is not yet a final decision”, he added.
The decision is missing
Journalist Lisa Gomes, Nahim’s sister-in-law, also expressed the opinion of the MP-SP against the singer’s stable union on Thursday evening (18/10). He asks the press to be “cautious and respectful before publishing any news relating to the case”.
“Clarification note: Regarding the latest news regarding the stable union of Andreia Andrade and the singer Nahim, we can only say that the Public Prosecutor has expressed his opinion on the case, but the judge’s final decision is still missing. Andreia, through his legal body, has already started the process of stable union to demonstrate that he coexisted maritally with Nahim until the last day of his life.”
“It is worth mentioning that the case is taking place in secret and involves a minor. I therefore ask my colleagues in the press to be cautious and respectful before publishing any news related to the case. We do not agree with this situation. There is consolation in remembering the good things that Nahim did for so many people, but the bad memories still make us suffer”, concludes the statement.
Understand the case
Since the singer’s death, Andreia Andrade has been fighting in court for the administration of the inheritance left by the artist, which includes two houses and a debt of almost R$19,000. The Prosecutor’s Office suggests that Noelle, Nahim’s eldest daughter, be appointed executor.
In the court case, the businesswoman’s defense detailed the romantic relationship of Andreia, who allegedly invented a separation in October to avoid persecution from Rosemeire Aparecida Cortijos Jorge Elias, with whom she has been involved in another dispute for years – even if she has not documentary evidence to confirm the alleged harassment.
In addition to proving the stable union, Andreia also asked for free legal assistance, claiming that “she does not have the economic means to support the costs and other legal expenses, without having to support herself and her family”.
At the age of 71, Nahim was found dead of a head injury on June 13, in Taboão da Serra, São Paulo.
