In 2010, Liam returned to The X Factor and was chosen to join the band One Directionalong with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik. The boy band quickly achieved global success, sold millions of records and filled stadiums on global tours
In 2016, the One Direction announced a hiatus after the album’s release Made in the AM. Each member followed individual paths, including Liam Paynewho soon began his solo career.
