The folklore association recognized that the singer’s show aimed to “preserve cultural heritage”
Boi Garantido has backtracked and informed g1 that he will not sue singer Ludmilla for promoting a show with a dispute over a fake beef bumbá. The situation had embarrassed the folklore association, which had not authorized references to Numanice’s tour, which took place in Manaus.
The press office acknowledged on Tuesday evening (22/10) that there was a breakdown in communication with the local producer of Numanice, and that the artist is not to blame. In a statement, the organization also confirmed that Ludmilla’s team recanted due to unwanted confusion and described the show as a “way of preserving the cultural heritage” of the Amazon.
“Singer Ludmilla’s production and the local producer responsible for last Sunday’s event have contacted the association to retract what happened. They recognized that the demonstration using a replica ox was a way to preserve the heritage, the Ox – Bumbá Garantido Furthermore, all parties involved reached an agreement and the situation was resolved, without the need for any legal action,” the people’s association said.
Lud’s show
Numanice’s last performance lasted almost five hours in Manaus, with the first three dedicated to the pagodas, followed by a funk set by DJ Ludspiração, the Riese singer’s alter ego. Subsequently, the evening saw the participation of two bois-bumbá in reference to the Parintins Festival, indicating the rivalry between Boi Garantido and Boi Caprichoso.
Initially the Garantindo folklore association had rejected the live show, claiming that the hiring of an “unofficial bull had taken place without the knowledge and authorization of the committee”. They considered taking drastic action against the singer for misusing “intellectual property”.
Ludmilla’s team has not expressed itself publicly, but the space remains open.
