The dramatic song will be included on the singer’s seventh studio album, due in February 2025
Lady Gaga released in the early hours of this Friday (25/10) her new song, “Disease”, which will be included on the singer’s seventh studio album, due in February next year. The new song recovers the dark pop aesthetic present in the albums “The Fame Monster” (2009) and “Born This Way” (2011).
The dramatic music draws attention through the use of synthesizers in the powerful verses about possible mental disorders. In the lyrics, Gaga describes a person who feels “poisoned”, “tortured”, and “tormented by all her memories”.
“Scream for me, darling / Like I’m dying / Poisoned from the inside / I can be your antidote tonight / I can pretend to be a doctor / I can cure your disease / If you’re a sinner / I can awaken your belief,” says an excerpt of the text.
This is Lady Gaga’s first release since her participation in the film “Joker”, which released in theaters earlier this month and was considered a huge failure at the box office.
