On the remix album ‘Brat and it’s completely different but it’s still also brat’ (2024), Julian Casablancas participates in the new version of ‘Mean Girls’

Singer and frontman of The Strokes and The Voidz who was successful with songs like “The Adults Are Talking,” “Selfless,” “Someday” and “You Only Live Once,”Julian Casablancas celebrated participating in the remix of “Mean Girls,” music by Charli XCX present on her sixth studio album, titled Brat (2024).

The second version of the song is called “Mean Girls featuring Julian Casablancas” and is part of the remix album Brat and it’s completely different but it’s still also brat. In an interview with The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallonthe artist spoke about the most recent collaboration in his career.

“This was very accidental. I actually can’t believe how quickly it happened, I feel like it was a few weeks ago that she invited me and I was in L.A. I sang, I spent a day doing stuff,” he said.

Then, the presenter asked whether Casablancas had heard of previous praise from Charli XCX about him. In response, the singer revealed how “someone sent me something” before saying: “Just meeting her this time, she was so nice.”
