The singer will be honored with a special song produced and published by Sam Pounds
Release of the month
Singer Liam Payne, who tragically passed away two weeks ago, will release his first song posthumously this Friday (1/11). The special track is a collaboration between the artist and producer Sam Pounds, with whom he shares the vocals on the song.
On X (formerly Twitter), the music producer said he will release the duet “Do No Wrong” as a sort of tribute to Liam. The two were great friends and spent years sharing recording studios together. “I pray that this will be a blessing to the world like Liam has always dreamed of. I pray that the angels comfort you all every day as you listen,” he said.
Special memories
Pounds still hopes that the posthumous song will serve as a comfort to the former One Direction’s fans and family, including Bear, the singer’s young son with his ex-wife, British singer Cheryl Cole: “I pray that this song will be a blessing to Ruth, Bear and the whole family.”
“I pray that this music will obscure the negative sounds. I pray that the supernatural positive healing power will embrace each of you. […] Let us all be a blessing,” Pounds concluded, sharing a pre-save link of the song.
Liam Payne died at the age of 31 on October 16, after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. According to the autopsy, the British singer suffered a bout of substance abuse (drugs, alcohol and medications) before dying from multiple traumas and internal and external bleeding. Authorities continue to investigate the case.
