“Oh my God, that was fun! I’m fine. Wow, sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage,” joked Rodrigo. She then explained how the fall was “really scary,” a feeling that returns when she watches the video. “I mean, the show must go on, that’s showbiz, baby.”

“It was actually kind of a beautiful thing and I’m really glad it happened in retrospect. So, I had just gone to the Philippines. That was my next stop, Australia, after the Philippines,” the singer continued.

And I was thinking about my family and my heritage and my relatives and I fell down and was all shaken up. And I went to the hospital afterwards. Nothing happened, but they just wanted to make sure I didn’t have a concussion.

Finally, Olivia Rodrigowho is of Filipino descent, recalled how the nurse, a Filipino man, who attended to her at the hospital had the same name as her grandfather, who “died a few months ago.” “And then I was like wow, that was him looking out for me. Making sure I didn’t get hurt and so I’m really glad that happened. I think it’s a beautiful story.”
