Megan Thee Stallion sues blogger for deepfake pornography and defamation

Megan Thee Stallion filed a lawsuit against the blogger Miracle Elizabeth Cooperaccusing her of spreading false content about her life and court case with Tory Lanez, as well as spreading deepfake pornography involving the rapper.

According to the complaint, Milagro – a user of Platform X with approx 30 thousand followers – allegedly spread false information about Megan, claiming she had an alcohol problem, questioning her mental health and promoting offensive stereotypes.

The content shared includes a video digitally manipulated to make it appear as if Megan was participating in intimate acts that her lawyers say caused great emotional distress and damage to the rapper’s reputation.

Megan’s defense claims that, in addition to deepfake pornography, Cooper promoted misinformation in the Tory Lanez trial by falsely claiming that Megan’s friend, Kelsey Harris, admitted to lying about the incident.

Among other allegations, the blogger allegedly claimed that the gun used by Lanez was missing, a claim the lawsuit denies because the gun is in the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department. Tory Lanez was convicted in 2022 of negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a semi-automatic firearm and possession of a loaded, unregistered firearm, receiving a 10-year prison sentence.

Megan Thee Stallion fights harassment and cyberbullying

Megan’s decision to sue Milagro reflects a strong stance against cyberbullying and what she describes as “years of harassment” from bloggers and social media influencers. In a statement to TMZ, Megan said that “it’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of cyberbullying, defamation and posting misinformation.”

She highlighted that the constant lies and attacks on her character have had a significant impact on both her personal and professional life, leading her to take legal action to protect her integrity and reputation.

Megan’s lawsuit seeks an injunction preventing Milagro from continuing the cyberstalking and defamation.

Additionally, Megan is seeking damages for intentionally inflicting emotional distress, invasion of privacy, and promotion of manipulated sexual content. For the rapper, the legal actions are an attempt to send a clear message that there will be no more tolerance for irresponsible and baseless attacks by bloggers positioning themselves as journalists while spreading unverified information.

Cooper’s defense team has not yet commented on the case.
