The producer has also worked with Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, Ella Fitzgerald and Donna Summer. Many international vehicles indicate that Quincy Jones worked with Elvis Presley playing trumpet in the King of Pop’s band in the 1950s, but the music producer denied The Hollywood journalistin an interview broadcast in 2021.
In it he stated that he would never work with Elvis, because the artist “was racist”. “I wouldn’t work with him… I was with Tommy Dorsey [trompetista]… Elvis came in and Tommy said, “I don’t want to play with him.” He was a racist son of a bitch, I’m going to shut up now,” the producer said.
