The British band will visit Sao Paulo on November 22 and 23 next year
Tour in Sao Paulo
The English band Oasis announced this Tuesday (11/5) that they will perform two shows in Sao Paulo, on November 22 and 23, in the Morumbis stadium, in the west of the capital of Sao Paulo. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher confirmed the band’s return in August this year.
“People of Brazil, Carnival has arrived early. Get ready and be smart, Oasis will see you soon”, reads an announcement published in Portuguese on Oasis’ X (formerly Twitter) profile. The tour will also visit Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 15 and 16, and Santiago, Chile, on November 19.
Tickets will be available next Wednesday (11/13), with prices ranging from R$245 (half price) to R$1,250 (full price). Fans will be able to register one day in advance to participate in the presale on the British band’s official website.
Previous shows in Brazil
Oasis have already come to Brazil on four different tours and only once did they not pass through Sao Paulo, when they performed at Rock in Rio in 2001. Before that, they had already debuted at the Sambodromo of Sao Paulo with “Be Here Now” (1998), when he was at his peak.
After Rock in Rio, he returned to do an exclusive show in Sao Paulo in 2006, during the “Don’t Believe the Truth” tour. The last visit took place in 2009 with the presentation of his latest album, “Dig Out Your Soul”, when he visited four cities: Rio, Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre and Pinhais (PR).
Shortly after the Brazilian shows, the band took the stage for the last time. During the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, a backstage brawl between Noel and Liam led to Noel’s departure from the band, culminating in the group’s dissolution. Since then, fans have been waiting for a possible reconciliation and return.
