The Maneva group follows a ritual before going on stage: to drink something, to drink something or something else. This Monday, 11th, were seen by Earth drink gin and beer before the show at Mix Music Boat.

In an exclusive conversation they confirmed that introducing yourself is a ritual. “This (having a drink) happens every day,” Tales, the singer, said, drawing laughter from those in attendance. “It’s still a ritual,” added Fernando, another Maneva member.

In a moment of relaxation, the band members even joked that the main element of the ritual was something else. “I say ‘Ma’ and you say ‘Breja’,” one of them said, once again eliciting laughter from those present, leaving the name of the object in the air.

20 years of Maneva

Maneva has just turned 20 years into her career and has recorded an album, Originin Chile to celebrate the new phase. The whole project cost a “small fortune” and they say the debt incurred has now been paid off.

“We have already recovered, but this project has only given us more energy to continue, we recorded in Atacama, we are happy with the result, Maneva returns to the original, it is a reunion with our roots, we are happy with this Chilean album which is born in Brazil”.
