With that in mind, the Rolling Stone Brazil put together a list of 12 songs that transport anyone straight to a classic scene from a 2000s film.

Launched in 1999, All The Small Things It quickly became one of pop punk’s most iconic songs. Part of the album Enema of the Statethe track gained popularity for its presence in films and series aimed at young audiences.

Launched in 2001, Island In The Sun is part of the album Weezer (The Green Album) is known for its light rhythm. The song has appeared in films such as Four Friends and a Traveling Jeans and the series Smallville: The Adventures of Superboy (2001), and is one of the band’s most remembered tracks.
10. Breakaway – Kelly Clarkson
The song, written by Matthew Gerrard, Bridget Benenate and Avril Lavignewas originally intended for Lavigne’s debut studio album, Let Go (2002). After being deemed unsuitable for the album, it was passed to Clarkson to be recorded as the film’s soundtrack. The Princess Diaries 2 (2004).

Released in 1998 as part of the film’s soundtrack City of Angels (City of Angels), Iris it quickly became a hit. The song, written by John Rzeznik, is also on the album Dizzy Up the Girl (1998) and is remembered as one of the most emotional tracks of the era.
5. Linger – The Cranberries
Launched in 1993, Linger was written by Dolores O’Riordan and Noel Hogan and was featured on the band’s debut album, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?. Released in 2005, the song Suddenly I See It’s part of the album Eye to the Telescope. The song gained fame when it appeared in the opening of the film The Devil Wears Prada (2006).

Launched in 2008, Pocketful of Sunshine is one of the best-known tracks from the album of the same name. The song achieved success on several soundtracks, including the film She and the Guys (2008), being one of the favorites for joyful and transformative moments in cinemas.
