Vocalist and guitarist reinforces that the now retired band was closed “as we know it”, but is not opposed to a single celebratory event
The farewell tour of Kiss, End of the Roadended in December 2023. Although the band went on a tour of the same tone at the beginning of the century, this time retirement must be respected due to the advanced age of the musicians — the leaders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons they are already over 70 years old.
This does not mean, however, that the group will never take the stage again for a special and isolated occasion. In an interview with Daily Times, Stanley said he is not opposed to this idea of a unique event, be it the band’s cruise, Kiss Kruiseor in some more informal circumstance.
He stated:
Everything is possible. THE Kiss is so far from over, although the Kiss as we know it is over. But having our hands, our ideas and our fingers in what Kiss continues makes all the sense in the world. So I’m looking forward to whatever comes next without knowing what’s next. But I’m open to everything.”
The comment about the continuity of Kiss in another format it is related to the band’s next initiative: a show with avatars. The project is under development with the Pophouse Entertainmentthe company responsible for the show Abba Voyage.
However, don’t expect to check out the avatars anytime soon. The musicians said that the debut should not take place before 2027.

Kiss closed for tours
The fact is that, as a touring artist, the Kiss it really ended according to its members. In a 2023 interview with Yahoo, Paul Stanley reinforced that the band will no longer tour.
I can’t really say if we will do any isolated shows. But [em dezembro de 2023] It’s the last of any kind of regular show or tour.”
The musician highlighted that he was only retiring from the stage due to his age and the requirement to go on stage wearing the typical costume of the band. Kisswhich involves heavy items for the body and very high heels. He says
It’s just time. And likewise, it is time consuming. Physically, it’s exhausting doing what we do. Hell, if I could go on stage in jeans and a t-shirt, I’d easily give us another 10, 15 years. But what we do is a totally different sport. We ran around the stage with 15 to 20 kg of equipment. We’re not like other bands. Will we do a unique show? I have no idea, but the days of touring and those types of shows are over.”
