The trapper compared the incident to a similar case involving Djonga, who burned his shorts last year
Accidents happen
Trapper Major RD was hit by a fire truck on Sunday (24/11), during his performance on the last day of the Mainstreet Festival, a musical event held in Praça da Apoteose, Rio de Janeiro. The accident caused despair among the public, but the artist is fine.
While performing the song “Só Rock”, Major placed one of his feet on the fire-spewing cannon. At that moment, a strong flame was shot upwards, hitting the Rio hunter’s right arm and part of his face. He left his equipment, sat in the center of the stage and was assisted by the firefighters and their team.
Immediately Major expressed reactions of pain, was removed from the festival site and it took some time before the music was interrupted by the silence of the festival. Shortly after, the trapper recovered and returned to the stage to conclude his performance at the festival.
“Fire in artists”
Rapper Borges, who performed a few hours after Major RD at the festival, was alerted by the audience to what happened to his colleague. The goal was to avoid a repeat of the situation with the artist, who might even have stepped on the equipment.
On Instagram, Major was unfazed by the incident and compared it to a similar case involving Djonga, who burned his shorts during a performance last year. “My brother Djonga said, ‘Fire on the artists.’ Thank you, Mainstreet Festival, it was all beautiful,” he wrote.
