Ceremony divided between Los Angeles and Osaka honored the biggest names in Asian and international music
You MAMA Awards 2024 celebrated music’s greatest talents with a series of ceremonies held between November 21st and 23rd. This year, the event had two locations: Los Angeles, in Dolby Theaterand Osaka, in Kyocera Dome. The award highlighted artists such as aespa, SEVENTEEN, Jungkook and Jennieas well as an international surprise with Bruno Mars.
The main prizes, known as “Grand Prizes”, were distributed among aespaand SEVENTEEN. The female group aespa it won Song of the Year with Supernovawhile SEVENTEEN took Artist of the Year and Album of the Year with Seventeenth Heaven. THE aespaalso won a total of six trophies, including Best Female Group and Best Dance Performance (Female Group).
Among the individual highlights, Jungkookby BTS, won as Best Male Artist and Best Dance Performance (Male Solo Artist) with Standing Next To You. Already Jenniefrom BLACKPINK, received four trophies, two of them for their collaboration with ZICO in music SPOT!. Another notable moment was the victory of Roséalso from BLACKPINK, and Bruno Marswhich won the award for Global Sensation for their viral collaboration APT..
