The film that is ‘a huge inspiration’ for Nine Inch Nails, according to Trent Reznor

Reznor listed his four favorite films on Letterboxd

Trent Reznor revealed what his favorite films are, including one that serves as inspiration for the Nine Inch Nails.

In an interview for the “Four Favorites” section of Letterboxdduring a preview of Queerfilm directed by Luca Guadagnino, Reznor listed his favorite feature films.

The founder of Nine Inch Nails joined Atticus Ross to take care of the soundtrack Queerwhich hits Brazilian cinemas on December 12th. Both cited Taxi Driver (1976) and Blue Velvet (1986), directed by Martin Scorsese and David Lynchrespectively.

The list of ross was completed with Beverly Hills Cop (1984) and Betty Blue (1986). Already Reznor appointed Titane (2021) and Gemini – Morbid Similarity (1988) like the other two favorite films.

On Gemini – Morbid Similarity, Reznor explained: “The incredible feeling of dread from start to finish… You’re not sure what’s going to happen, but it’s going to be bad.”

“I love this film, and it’s been a great inspiration for what I try to do with the Nine Inch Nails. It makes you feel bad all the time,” he added.
