A 41-year-old passenger was found dead on Saturday the 30th aboard the singer-themed ship Maiara and Maraisawhich sailed near Angra dos Reis, on the coast of Rio de Janeiro. In a note to Earththe cruise organizing company reported that the death occurred from natural causes.

According to PromoAção, the passenger was accompanied by his wife and daughter. The company says that the report shows that the man had a sudden illness during the night and was found dead on Saturday morning.

MSC, in turn, also confirmed the death of the passenger during the “Maiara & Maraisa em Alto Mar” themed cruise, chartered by PromoAção. According to the company, the medical team was called immediately and provided all necessary support to his family. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time,” he added.
