Gabi Melim is diagnosed with facial paralysis due to anxiety

The singer, who plans a solo tour in January, said she is undergoing medical treatment

Singer Gabi Melim worried her followers on Sunday (1/12) when she reported that she had been diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, a condition that causes muscle weakness on one side of the face. The singer explained that the illness occurred due to anxiety. He debuts his solo tour on January 11 in Sao Paulo.

On Instagram Gabi published a photo with her right eye bandaged and explained that she was being followed by doctors. The singer also said she is already taking medication to ease her symptoms and is undergoing facial physiotherapy.

“Mores, I was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, due to anxiety. The right side of my face does not move, my vision does not close. But I am already treated by wonderful doctors, they treat me and subject me to physiotherapy facial . I’ll update you here and any positive vibes are very welcome,” she wrote in Stories.

Reason for anxiety?

Earlier this year, Gabi Melim officially said goodbye to the band Melim in which she performed with her brothers Rodrigo and Diogo. The group had already announced in October 2023 that it would take a break after its members began their solo careers.

At the time the singer was considered one of the members of Camarote “BBB 24”, but her participation was denied by TV Globo. His first solo album, “Gabriela”, was released in August. Now he is preparing for his first solo tour, with the debut expected in January, if the paralysis and anxiety ease in the coming weeks.
