“So a lot of people said something like, ‘A Yoko she wasn’t around on this album, why are they highlighting her in the liner notes or something?’ I think there’s a lot of history and a lot of assumptions made about that period because they were, in some ways, heading towards that famous separation that people call The Lost Weekendright? In Los Angeles, with May Pang”.

“But the truth is, even when they were apart, they were always talking, so I don’t think they ever really broke up. All of my father’s things were still in the apartment with my mother. It wasn’t like they had a real breakup. And besides, all my father thought about was her,” he continued.

sean added: “You look at the album cover, it’s a collage of my mom, literally the size of a mountain, and he’s this tiny little thing kind of fading into the background. I think it’s clear what his view of my mother was in his life. She was monumental, obviously. And the whole album is about her.”

“And she was there in the studio. So, I guess it didn’t change my view so much, but it kind of confirmed how deeply in love he was with my mother,” he said, going on to say that he believes his mother “never got over that relationship.”
