The singer toured with Troye Sivan and returns to the stage in February next year
Charli XCX admitted that the stage is a “pretty irritating” place for her these days.
In an interview with Varietythe singer talked about the tour Sweatwhich he did to promote Brat (2024) alongside Troye Sivanwho, in turn, released his most recent album, Something to Give Each Other (2023).
“I think touring is actually quite difficult emotionally,” he confessed. “I think the stage — especially these days — is a pretty irritating place for me.”
I’ve caused a lot of physical damage to my body when performing and I’m almost always in a lot of pain when I’m performing. Physically, I have nerve damage in my neck from things I did on stage.
The Brit added: “In order for me to give a performance that I feel is good enough, I have to throw myself physically — and that’s what makes me really angry when I do it. So, it’s kind of this hell.”
Charlie still praised Sivan and other tour partners, saying the “Angel Baby” hitmaker made the shows “easier and less of an emotional battle.”
“And a lot of other people I toured with just made me feel so enlightened,” she continued. The artist also admitted that she hasn’t been resting: “2024 hasn’t been much rest, that’s for sure.”
