Blink-182: Matt Skiba Indicates He’s No Longer In The Band

Guitarist and Vocalist of blink 182, Matt Skiba indicated that he is no longer in the band in a comment on Instagram. The statement came when responding to a fan who asked if he was still in the group because he didn’t have “content from the blink” on the social network and “the guys from blink don’t post photo with Matt.”

When replying to the comment, skiba wrote: “Your guess is as good as mine. Regardless, I am very proud and grateful for my time with blink 182. We’ll see…”

Musician joined the band in 2015, to replace Tom DeLonge – who revealed in 2021 that he would agree to reunite with the group. skiba recorded the last two albums of the blink 182, California (2016) and NINE (2019), alongside Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker.

However, it is also dedicated to Alakaline Triowho released a three-song project in 2020 called EPand toured with bad religion last year.

The band blink 182 would be planning to return to Brazil after 18 years. The Brazilian fanpage Action182 announced that sources linked to the band’s productions confirmed the possibility of the group coming to Brazil. The show would be to remember the first visit to Latin America and the 30 years of the band.

“For the first time since 2004, the possibility of the band coming to Brazil is in fact real, without the logistical issue of Travis Barker because of the plane crash in 2008,” they wrote.

According to the statement, the presentation would have “four members”, an unprecedented feat with Tom DeLonge to celebrate the record Take Off Your Pants and Jacket (2001), “with the famous F#CK on fire in the background.”
