The gang of panic! At the Disco released the video for “Middle of a Breakup”, inspired by the scenes from the musical “Grease: Nos Tempos da Brilhantina” (1978).

Singer Brendon Urie replaces Danny Zuco (John Travolta) in a garage to service his classic car, while dancer Leah Adler (“La La Land”) plays a brunette Sandy (Olivia Newton-John). Throughout the video, the two meet, dance and break up. But without the final twist of “Grease”, where everyone joins the happy ending.

Directed by Brendan Walter (from several Weezer clips), who had previously worked with the band on “High Hopes” (2018) and the recent “Viva Las Vengeance” (2022). The music, on the other hand, is totally different from the style of “Grease”, but recalls a classic sound: Elvis Costello’s “Armed Forces” phase (1979).

“Middle of a Breakup” is the second single from the album “Viva Las Vengeance”, that Panic! will be released on August 19th.
