Live Nation, the famous concert and entertainment company, has officially canceled the Sick New World festival that was to take place on April 12, 2025 in Las Vegas.
This festival is known for hosting more than 50 bands per event, from Rock to Metal, and in 2025 the main names were Metallica and Linkin Park. But ticket sales did not go as expected.
According to the Lambgoat website, of the 60,000 tickets put up for sale only 20,000 were sold.
Furthermore, the headliners’ compensation, R$30 million each, would not have helped the financial health of the festival.
Tickets will be refunded, and Live Nation says the following: “Despite our best efforts, we encountered unforeseen circumstances that we were unable to overcome for next year’s show.”
Contrary to what we know about Las Vegas, the house doesn’t always win.
