Popular phenomenon in the 2000s, German synthpop/rock band comes to the country for the third time to perform in São Paulo
THE Tokyo Hotel comes to Brazil for the third time for a unique show in São Paulo this Thursday (12). The German synthpop/rock band, a popular phenomenon in the late 2000s, performs at Vibra SP.
The inaugural visit took place in 2010, with a return in 2015, always with performances only in the capital of São Paulo. This occasion also includes visits to Peru, Chile and Argentina. Mexico also received a date, which was later canceled — according to the band, due to “causes unrelated to the venue and due to the producer’s failure to comply with the requirements to make the show happen”.

Still maintaining its original formation, Tokio Hotel has the brothers Bill (voice) and Tom Kaulitz (guitar), in addition to Georg Listing (low) and Gustav Schäfer (battery). In total, they have sold more than 10 million records and have accumulated more than 120 gold and 70 platinum certifications, in addition to awards such as the MTV VMA Moonman in the USA, five European Music Awards, four MTV Latin Music Awards and the MTV Japan Music Award .
His most recent album, 2001, came out in November 2022. The material was written amid the Covid-19 pandemic, with several singles anticipated before the album was released. “Berlin”, “White Lies” and a new version for “Durch den Monsun 2020” were the main previews.
