Currently 82 years old, the Brazilian music giant retired from the stage at the end of 2022, after a show at the Mineirão stadium, in Belo Horizonte
Milton Nascimento has been retired from the stage since November 2022. Although he made an appearance during a show by Coldplayin March 2023, and released an album with Esperanza Spalding Last August, the 82-year-old artist withdrew from professional commitments on a large scale.
Still, it cannot be said that he has completely disconnected himself from his legacy. In a video published on social media, the Brazilian music icon revealed a habit from his “retired” period: checking out old footage starring himself.
He says:
“The things I’ve enjoyed most about my retirement are watching my old videos. I miss it a lot, I really miss it.”
Subsequently, however, “Bituca” receives an invitation from the person responsible for filming, Augusto Kesrouani Nascimentoyour son and manager: how about doing a show to satisfy that longing? The answer is direct: “No”.
